This is one of a series of HB pencil drawings that I have made recently. I start with a line, not knowing what’s going to appear. At first, I work quickly to stay ahead of my mind and it’s rational decision making. In many of the other drawings in the series, I then left the drawing for a few days, and returned to it to build up certain areas to develop a sense of character and narrative, but with this drawing I decided to leave it as it was after the first session, as it seemed to arrive fully formed.
